“Even in a small town in the Midwest, we can sample Indian, Korean, or Chinese cuisine. Food often is what brings us together socially. This is usually the first level of understanding another culture. By appreciating food from different countries we begin to connect with other cultures on a more basic level.” Archana Shekara
Aran Coirce or Scottish Oat Cakes are a cracker that dates back to the Roman period. The imagery is painted using acrylic and is inspired by European still-life. The hand-drawn type references the Art Nouveau movement that became very popular in Scotland.
Objective
Design an informative poster and video exploring one type of grain-based food from your ancestral cultural background. The final design and video should include an introduction about the food and the history of each ingredient.
